Rebecca Judson on Dad's home-made concrete pipe

Rebecca on Dad's home-made concrete pipe
After the 1916 flood, Ray began to manufacture concrete pipe on his ranch and he and the other five owners of the East San Pasqual Water Company (the A. Judsons, H. Judsons, the Georgesons, and the Marchuses) used it to put the bulk of their irrigation system underground. The new system, controlled by a series of metal sluice gates, had the advantage that it required less maintenance and provided significant pressure on the west end.
