By late 1904, the Trussells were expecting their eighth child, Franklin and the living conditions in the old Clevenger place were getting a little cramped. In 1905 Davis Trussell, Ray's dad and an accomplished millwright who had already built several houses, including two for himself and another for his daughter, Winona, moved in with his son and family for several months. While he was there he built a comodious new home. The home where my father was born ten years later. These photos show various views of the home during its first decade of existence. |
