This map, produced in the mid 1890's, shows San Diego County as it appeared about the time the Trussells settled there. The heavy lines are the Santa Fe Railway system, completed in 1885. Key landmarks are Otay, San Diego, Old Town, Bernardo, San Pasqual, Escondido and San Marcos - all places where the Trussells either lived, farmed and/or traded.
